Supervisor Wally Leimgruber
Imperial County Supervisor District 5 and Chairman of the Board
As an elected official, Supervisor Wally Leimgruber has seen firsthand how natural disasters, floods and earthquakes affect the people he serves. The experience has made Leimgruber, District 5 Supervisor, Imperial County Board of Supervisors, a firm believer in getting his community prepared to face emergencies.
“Those who are the least prepared do suffer the most,” Leimgruber says. “It is important that everyone be prepared.”
Leimgruber supports emergency preparedness both at home and as a county supervisor. In fact, he and his wife, Marjie, know that if a disaster were to occur it’s good planning that will be the key to keeping their household functioning. The Leimgrubers have prepared their home and are ready should a disaster strike.
As a county supervisor, Leimgruber works with human resource departments to ensure preparedness information is provided to employees. He knows that the more people are prepared, the better off they’ll be as emergency services can only provide so much help.
“Sitting down with your family and going over a course of action will make all the difference in your family’s safety,” he says.
